Cutting the Way to Success
December 2, 2022
In Sleuthhounds: Cruise our fearless detectives inevitably need to get into areas of the ship that are initially barred to them. In some cases they can be invited inside, in some cases they can find keys, and in some cases Homes himself can pick the locks standing in the way. However, when none of these options work, it’s time to seek professional help. Not of the psychiatrist kind but of the key cutting kind.
During the game, the Sleuthhounds will collect a small number of keys to different room cabins. With the assistance of young Joanna Price, and using these keys as a template, it’s necessary to cut a skeleton key. This is done by cutting grooves into, and tabs out of, a blank key to get just the right shape. Once accomplished, the cruise ship is the Sleuthhounds oyster. Or at least a place where doors are no longer an impediment.
