Theatre Crowding

May 8, 2020

As the cruise ship in Sleuthhounds: Cruise is supposed to be nice, bright, and shiny there aren't that many places to get really atmospheric on the lighting front. However, one of those places is in the ship's theatre when Ampson and the maid Carlotta take center stage in the spotlight.

An added difficulty with this particular scene was the need to have a crowd and consequently a bunch of character designs. There are actually only a dozen different designs in the audience, but by mixing up where they're seated and by having them go to just silhouettes towards the back of the theatre it (hopefully) looks like there's a good and varied crowd.

[Why would Ampson be on stage with Carlotta?]
